Hey Hey! Excuse the delay. Let’s just say I’m experiencing my own mini flood crisis! A leaky pipe caused a good amount of water to flow into our basement and the scramble to find the leak and stop water from getting everywhere is ongoing. But let’s get on to the good stuff! Week 3 is here!
Catch up with Josie’s #WeeklyRoundUp for the Week September 29th, 2017 below!
1. Tidal x Brooklyn
Without sounding too much like a press release, I’m going to talk about Tidal x Brooklyn. We’re all beginning to see the devastation that Hurricane Maria has brought upon Puerto Rico. The U.S. Commonwealth has basically been destroyed. In the vast majority of populated areas, there is no way to get food, no access to clean water and limited fuel supplies to run generators. They’re finally receiving aid and Jay-Z’s streaming service Tidal is pitching in as well (prayer-hand emojis). HOV & Fat Joe have planned to send some 200,000 lbs of supplies next week. And Tidal will also host a concert in Brooklyn on 10/17 to raise more funds. Cardi B, J-Lo, Daddy Yankee are just a few of acts slated to perform. Kudos! I love seeing our communities come together and provide real support!

2. Rihanna x Fenty Beauty
Who doesn’t love a good #facebeat? Especially using products made for “all skin colors, all undertones, from all countries!” Our girl Ri Ri (think Wild Thoughts) recently launched the makeup line Fenty Beauty to raving reviews. She felt inspired to fill the gap in foundation shades which I’ve experienced first hand. I was once told I couldn’t do a nude lip because I was too dark? The nerve! The foundation only costs $34, which seems reasonable. I’m here for it.
3. Song of the Week: Zoo by Starrah & Diplo
You can listen here on Apple Music too. I dig the mash-up of Hip-Hop and Progressive Pop. Don’t know what Progressive Pop is? You can Google it.

4. A3C Festival is Coming to ATL!
The A3C festival is one of Hip-Hop’s biggest events. It provides a platform for all areas of the music industry to link, learn and perform. This year the event will be a 4-day bender of all things hip-hop. I’m looking forward to the Artist Accelerator meet-ups and of course the showcases. Electric Flow anyone?
Festival Dates: Oct 4th – Oct 8th
